Happy June, everyone! It's almost officially summer, but the past few weeks in Portsmouth have not reflected that. The rain and wind that are so typical for the UK have made it difficult to believe summer is here. It's not all been dreary, though—at the end of May, we did experience some gorgeous summer weather and enjoyed it very much. Short and sweet. That is what the month of April felt like. The past month was a time of rest and reset and, because it was so lovely it seemed to fly by. It definitely felt like the Lord gave us a quiet month to prepare us for the busyness of May, June and July but whatever the reason, we enjoyed the simple family days, the absence of illness, no heavy workload and a spring break.
